During the caterpillar stage I was involved in the Advertising world which gave me tremendous experience in the Sales and Marketing field.
My cocoon phase was that of Weekends Away as a small business.
My butterfly phase has now taken me to Weekends Away as an established business and my becoming a serial entrepreneur.

Educated Parktown Convent. Married with two daughters and grand children. Lived for 19 years in Zimbabwe on family farm. Worked in the corporate world for 15 years here in S.A. Now semi retired and am happily employed doing what I love most which is traveling and exploring new places in this beautiful South Africa. Love the out doors in any shape or form, be it walks, game viewing etc.
My most recent achievements: Explored the little Kingdom of Lesotho.

I matriculated last year with university exemption. I decided to take a gap year this year to find some direction in what career to go into, and found myself working for Weekends Away. This is a fabulous opportunity, as I love the outdoors, adventure and travel, and working with collegues as passionate and dedicated as those at Weekends Away, has definitely made me feel that the tourism industry is what I would like to pursue further.

I worked as a Administrator at the Olympic Committee of South Africa for 4 years. I started with the All Africa Games organizing committee in 1999 as a volunteer.
I was head hunted by the then President Mr Sam Ramsamy who offered me a position within the Organisation.
I was part of the Management team for the Olympic Games that was held in Greece in 2004 (Athens Olympic Games).
I joined Weekends Away as a Coordinator in April 2008 and is currently in the same position.

I started my career in Marketing in 1991 and managed the marketing and sales team for a manufacturing concern specializing in Air Filtration systems.
I have always had a passion for sales and was appointed as Business Development Manager for USKO Limited for their Middle East and Africa region.
My skills and experience has always been in event management and I was appointed as Senior Sales Consultant of Weekends-Away in 2007 and have had huge success since then.
I look forward to being of service to you.
BONGI MOSIA

Joined South African Tourism in 1993 focusing on business tourism promotion which entailed conference promotion offering support for conference and event bids, corporate business development, incentive travel promotion and the overall promotion of South Africa as a Business Tourism destination. Retired in July 2005
Also have a corporate social development experience from my previous job before joining SAT as well as a social work & teaching background.
I started with Weekends-Away in October 2005 as the Corporate Social Investment Programme Coordinator with the main focus on children orphaned and made vulnerable by AIDS. The project, Holidays of Hope, offers the children an opportunity to have an experience of a life time through holiday camps. To date we have successfully sent 530 children to camps around Gauteng as a form of relief from their every day depressing circumstances.
